Description
NORTHERN WHITE CEDAR (ARBORVITAE), Thuja occidentalis – A medium-sized evergreen tree with scale-like leaves. Rot resistant wood is soft, light-colored, durable and aromatic. Tolerates a wide variety of soils and likes full sun. Cedar swamps provide good winter habitat and food for deer. Seedling height: 6-10 inches. Mature tree height: up to 70 feet.
