Customers may choose to pickup orders at the Nursery in Boscawen NH. This is a great opportunity to visit the nursery and experience the grounds.
Depending on the spring weather, the State Forest Nursery typically opens around mid-April through mid-May to pick up your orders, Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00am to 3:30 pm.
Additionally, we are open on three Saturdays in late April and early May for your convenience from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
We will post our weekend schedule on this page in early April.
Customers may have their order delivered to the NH County of their choice for a $5.00 fee.
County Foresters will designate a “delivery point” in each county and establish a date for customers to come pick up their orders.
Customers will be notified of date and location in the spring via postcard. Delivery dates will also be posted here in mid to late April.
- There is no county delivery for Merrimack County. Customers in Merrimack County may pick their order up at the State Forest Nursery in Boscawen, NH.
- County delivery is not an option for orders placed after March 31st.

We calculate shipping costs in the United States using three zones.
|20% of Order Total plus $10
|East of Mississippi
|25% of Order Total plus $10
|West of Mississippi
|30% of Order Total plus $10
Please note that Minnesota and Louisiana are considered West of the Mississippi and in Zone 3.
Shipping usually begins in early to mid-April, once the ground has thawed enough to lift the seedlings from the seed-beds, and runs through mid to late May. Orders are shipped Monday through Wednesday only to avoid storage in trucks over the weekend.
Packaging and Quality
All seedlings are shipped in poly-lined, moisture resistant paper bags of up to 500 seedlings per bag. The bags are no larger than 22 inches in diameter, 36 inches in length, and up to about 35 pounds in weight (about the size of a large dog food bag).
