Description
FRASER FIR, Abies fraseri – Highly popular Christmas tree species, with medium to dark green needles with a silvery underside. Fraser shares a similar look and may characteristics of Balsam fir, but slower growing. A later bud break protects these trees from late spring frosts. Excellent needle retention makes these a popular seller for Christmas trees. Prefers moderately well-drained soils on cool sites. Seedling height: 5-10 inches. Mature height: 50-75 feet. Maximum of 1,000 seedlings per customer.
